The Toronto International Film Festival’s 2026 schedule is now LIVE! I’ve gone through all 293 films and created a TIFF shortlist of 53 films that correspond to one or more of the following criteria:

• Feminist
• Woman-focused
• Highly anticipated
• Iconic director
• Interesting premise
• Politically important
• Critical of oppressive power structures

The list is divided into must-sees (10), want-to-sees (27), and maybes (16). Rather than recreate the list here, I will link directly to tiffr, the site I used to build my schedule this year. It made reviewing the film description and viewing times infinitely easier. And it’s free to use! If you haven’t used it before but are attending this year’s festival, I would strongly recommend it.
